The Quebec-selected skilled workers program is a unique immigration pathway that operates under a special agreement between the Quebec government and the Canadian government.
Immigration Through Quebec Selected Skilled Worker Program
The Quebec-selected skilled worker program is designed for those who intend to settle in the province of Quebec. To qualify for this program, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for Quebec immigration and obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). Here are the general requirements and process for applying:
Eligibility requirements:
• Applicants must have at least one diploma that corresponds to a Quebec education level.
• Applicants must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements in French and English.
• Applicants must demonstrate that they have enough funds to support themselves and their family members.
• Applicants must pass a security background check and meet the medical requirements.
Application process:
1. Submit an online Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the Quebec government's immigration department.
2. If your profile meets the eligibility requirements, you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Quebec government.
3. Submit a complete application package with all supporting documents to the Quebec government within 90 days of receiving the ITA.
4. Attend an interview with a Quebec immigration officer.
5. If your application is approved, you will receive a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).
6. Apply for permanent residency with the federal government using your CSQ.
It is important to note that the Quebec-selected skilled worker program has its own eligibility criteria and application process, separate from the federal government's Express Entry program.
